  • All issues identified during voting have been resolved

  • Milos asked if the deprecation rules have been applied

  • Will Sobel said some documents related to this release of the Core ontology may need some slight changes

  • Will went through the release process (w.r.t. to Github)

  • Need a public announcement of release – Serm with attend to this

  • Jim Logan suggested a change in TOB voting process (for releasing an ontology)

    • Todd suggested this idea (to speed up release) needs to be examined with respect to the current release process (e.g., conditional votes and changes they may incur)

1) Architecture TG – Formal review of normative documents

2) Key items, ideas, concerns that came up during or as a result of the face-to-face meeting in Arizona

  • Ontologies of Qualities -

    • Todd said he his working with Thomas Hanke on this

      • Thomas ‘translated’ PATO work into OWL files

    • Where should these ontologies be ‘placed’ (among the other working groups or a new group)?

    • Serm asked whether an ‘Epic’ should be created to track this work?

      • Will Sobel and Evan Wallace will create the ‘Epic’ for the development of the IOF Quality ontologies

    • Melinda pointed us to IDO work on Units of Measure and Qualities - uom

    • Melinda suggested questions about IDO can be directed to Johan Klüwer (Johan.Wilhelm.Kluewer@dnv.com)

  • Evan has a list of ‘items’

    • There was a discussion of ontologies that NIIMBL (Home - NIIMBL) may contribute to the IOF

      • It’s not clear how the IOF ‘processes’ or working groups will handle the ‘contributed’ ontologies

    • Participants from Additive manufacturing may have some ‘work’ that could be contributed

  • Open Source DL/OWL reasoners

    • Todd suggested using the Ontolog Forum to publicize this deficiency

      • Todd will contact the Ontology Forum about this
