Terminology

• wiki

  • a set of web pages with a functionality well suited for collaborative text-based content creation

• Confluence

  • a commercial offering of a wiki

  • in an OAGi / IOF context, it's "the wiki"

  • a companion application to Jira (supports single sign-on)

• space

  • Confluence’s top-level organizational unit

  • a collection of related Confluence (wiki) pages

  • a space may have permissions assigned to it distinct from other spaces

• Jira

  • a project-oriented task-management tool

  • a companion application to Confluence (supports single sign-on)

  • may use Jira in IOF later, if the TOB decides to do so

• project

  • every task in Jira must be associated with a project

Key Concepts

1. OAGi / IOF's Atlassian Cloud service includes:

Create Page

1. Create button on menu bar

   1. Creates page as child of the displayed page

2. Click + (plus sign) that appears on a page link in the side bar

Edit Page

2. Referencing users

   1. To reference someone that is a wiki user, type @ and start typing their name (such as "@Jim Wilson" will show up as Jim Wilson.

3. Specifying dates

   1. To specify a date, type // (two forward slashes) and a calendar will pop up so you can choose the date.

   2. To edit a date, just click on it.
